Learn how our Asset Recovery process works, what our service costs, and what to expect when you speak with a representative.
Money can sometimes remain unclaimed, undistributed, or otherwise payable to an eligible owner who has no idea it exists. Finding the money is only part of the process.
JSurplus conducts research to identify potential assets and the people who may be entitled to them. When appropriate, we work with the owner to verify the situation, obtain the necessary authorization, prepare appropriate documentation within the scope of our lawful non-legal services, communicate with relevant entities where permitted, and pursue collection on the client's behalf.
Our team conducts specialized Asset Recovery research for potential recoverable assets.
We identify potential assets and the potential owners who may be entitled to them.
We review the available information to determine whether a potential recovery warrants further investigation.
When appropriate, we contact potential owners to discuss our findings and our Asset Recovery services.
If you'd like JSurplus to move forward, we walk you through the Client Package so you understand exactly what you're authorizing.
Once properly authorized, JSurplus pursues recovery on behalf of the client.
Finding money is one thing. Collecting it is another. Potential Asset Recovery matters can involve research, ownership verification, documentation, communications, follow-up, and collection procedures. JSurplus handles that process within the scope of the authority provided by our clients — you don't have to independently research every record, determine every potential source, or manage the collection process alone.
Simple. 20%.
JSurplus's Asset Recovery fee is 20% of the amount we successfully collect for our client, subject to the terms of the Client Package. If we don't recover anything, you owe us nothing.
A JSurplus representative will contact you to discuss your situation directly, answer your questions, and — if appropriate — explain the Client Package and what it authorizes before anything is signed. Reaching out doesn't obligate you to anything.
